Padmavat all set to create history at Box office!
Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Magnus Opus Padmavat featuring Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh is all set to create history at Box Office.
Till now the movie has collected Rs. 114 crores in 4 days. Despite widespread protests and controversies, Bhansali’s much-delayed historical venture registered a monumental collection of 32 crores on first Friday at Indian box office.
It’s running successfully in theatres, continuing winning streak on Sunday it summed up to a whopping 114 crores at the box office.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s much awaited 180 crores produced and directed movie Padmavat released on 25th of January. Despite huge controversies surrounding, Padmaavat sounded enormous at the box office.
Deepika Padukone’s brave portrayal of Rani Padmini has been hugely applauded. Ranveer Singh amazed with his beastly portrayal Alauddin Khilji. Despite a smaller role as Raja Ratan Singh, Shahid Kapoor impressed the audience and critics.
As expected long weekend and huge controversies helped Bhansali’s latest project Padmaavat. Despite not screening in few states like Rajasthan, UP, and MP, the film is doing exceptionally well.
Talking to first-weekend collection trade analyst Taran Adarsh wrote “Protests… Disturbances… No screening in few states… Yet, #Padmaavat does EXCELLENT biz in its extended weekend… The film lost out on substantial biz [approx ₹ 35 cr / ₹ 37 cr], but the SUPERB trending in other circuits helped put up a MAJESTIC total…”. He also added “Looking at the overall scenario, #Padmaavat has put up FANTASTIC numbers in its extended weekend… Crosses ₹ 100 cr mark… Wed [limited previews] 5 cr, Thu 19 cr, Fri 32 cr, Sat 27 cr, Sun 31 cr. Total: ₹ 114 cr. India biz”.
Padmaavat also doing well in overseas. It has earned 8.8 crores in Australia, 7.5 cr in UK/Ireland, 1.95 in New Zealand.
Despite numbers, It has broken several records during its first weekend. It has given Shahid Kapoor his first 100cr movie. It is also the fastest 100 crore movie for Shahid, Ranveer, and Sanjay Leela Bhansali. It is also highest weekend gross over for Shahid, Ranveer, and Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
