Sony TV Has Shut Down Kapil Sharma’s Show
As earlier reported by Tellydhamaal that The Family Time With Kapil Sharma has hit all time low ratings as audience are not liking the new changes.
After airing only 3 episodes, Sony TV has now decided to pull the plug on Kapil Sharma’s new show, Family Time With Kapil Sharma. According to sources, the decision was finally taken by the channel on Monday. Reasons cited for this move by the show’s makers are many: Kapil Sharma’s deteriorating health, lack of finished episodes and thumbs down from the viewers.
Family Time With Kapil Sharma was launched on 25 March after Kapil’s earlier show – The Kapil Sharma Show, was taken off air last year post its launch in April 2016. The announcement and launch of Family Time With Kapil Sharma was welcomed and seen as a comeback of the comedian, but the celebration was premature. There were once again reports of Kapil having not turned up for a shoot with Rani Mukerji. Add to this, the reviews of the new show indicated that Kapil Sharma was not yet back in his original form and the game show format that was added to Family Time With Kapil Sharma was not working at all.
Recently, Sharma also got into a verbal dispute with a journalist, where the comedian went to the extent of making personal, abusive remarks. He accused both the journalist and the online publication of propagating ‘fake’ news. Of late, Sharma has been facing a lot of flak from the public for his behaviour.
Kiku Sharda aka Bumper one of the famous character of the show gave a statement where he said ” Yes the makers have decided to pull the show off air. We are not shooting further and may not also. The new format of arranging games didn’t work. There is an issue with the format so the makers have decided to come back with old format. I think we should give some time for Kapil to recover”.
Let’s hope Kapil Sharma takes his time to resolve whatever issues he’s facing that’s hampering him personally and professionally.
