Game of Thrones (GOT) Indian Version ‘Rani Mahal’ – Sakshi Tanwar as Daenerys Targaryen, Parth as Jon Snow
Seven kingdoms. One throne. Blood, incest, war and glory; Popular American Show Game of Thrones is a thrilling series created by George RR Martin. Lannisters, Starks, Mother of Dragons, The Wall, and the ruthless White Walkers – all of it was captivating and enthralling to say the least.
Reports of Sony Entertainment TV remaking the widely watched hit series in India have started doing the rounds just before the premiere of “Game of Thrones” Season 5 worldwide.
Latest Buzz is that, Indian Television’s most popular Bahu Sakshi Tanwar will essay the role of Daenerys Targaryen, Mother of Dragons in the Indian version of the show, which is titled “Rani Mahal”.
“Yeh Hai Mohabbatein” actress Anita Hassanandani as Cersei Lannister, while “Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan” actor Parth Samthaan will play the famous Jon Snow, bastard son of Lord Eddard Stark of Winterfell, according to a leading daily.
The Indian fans of the original GOT series don’t seem to like the idea this thrilling series getting completely dramatized into Indian version now and have shared their views otherwise on various social networking sites.
Well, it cannot be overlooked that the GOT story/plot does have a huge scope of entertainment for the regional markets in India, provided that the makers of the Indian version of GOT can re-create the similar experience for the Indian audience.
