Zee TV Kumkum Bhagya Latest News
TV actress Shikha Singh, Aaliya of Zee TV’s Kumkum Bhagya will tie the knot in a close knit marriage ceremony with her beau Karan Shah on May 1 2016.
It will be a Gujarati wedding for Shikha Singh as her fiance, Karan Shah, a pilot hails from a Gujarati family.
While Shikha and Karan live in the same society, they have been friends over many years and the actress is happy that she is marrying her best friend.
The couple are not indulging in long sangeet functions or mehendi ceremonies at all. Shikha says, “Like a Gujarati wedding, we will have a mandap-mahurat on April 30, which will be followed by a Goanese themed party in the evening by the poolside.”
The wedding will take place on Sunday May 1, where the actress is wearing a red and white panetar, which every Gujarati bride sports on her wedding day. This will be followed by a reception in the evening.
The decoration will comprise lavender and purple theme all over the banquet hall. Talking about the same, Shikha shared “More than decoration, Gujaratis love desserts and Karan is in love with the aamras. Since it is mango season we plan to have an aamras fountain like you see chocolate fountains in many parties. We have planned to keep ten desserts, so that our guests can have a great feast. The most important part of the wedding is, that Karan and I have planned everything from menus to decoration to catering and wardrobe. Since we had both been working, it has been very exhausting too.”
Shikha tells us that her fiance Karan keeps asking her about the feeling of getting married now and she feels she is already married to him. However she feels she may get nervous on April 30 when the actual day gets closer.
Ask her what is the most important thing about the wedding and she says, “I will dance in my baraat. My best friend Karan is getting married so every friend dances in their friend’s wedding. So when the baraat gets near I will run and dance in his baraat, then come back and wait for him to put the garland on me.”
