Here’s all you need to know about the Masterchef India 5 judges.
Michelin-starred chef Vikas Khanna, who has been consistently judging the show since Season 2, is returning in full form. Khanna recently released his cookbook, Essence of Seasoning, apart from hosting India’s Mega Kitchens on Nat Geo. He also released his first directorial venture, Kitchens of Gratitude, at Cannes earlier this year.
Chef Kunal Kapur, who was on the panel since the show’s inception, is making a return after a year’s break away from the MasterChef family. The owner of the Dubai restaurant, Patiala, Kapur has been acclaimed for being one of the best chefs in India. His finesse and knowledge of north Indian food is unsurpassed.
Restaurateur Zorawar Kalra has made some huge waves in India’s restaurant business. The is the founder of Massive Restaurants, which runs brands like Farzi Cafe, Masala Library, Pa Pa Ya, Made in Punjab, and MasalaBar. One of the harbingers of molecular gastronomy merged with Indian cuisine, Kalra will definitely add a different flavour to the MasterChef proceedings this year.
With this particular trio of judges, MasterChef India now has three experts with culinary as well as F&B industry backgrounds. This is surely going to help out all the amateurs and homecooks participating in the show this year.
