Mouni Roy latest news, Mouni Roy latest gossips
Naagin actress Mouni Roy, who is one of the most famous names of TV as Nagin Shivanya, has finally got 1 million followers on Instagram.
The actress’ hit show Naagin (Colors channel) just went off air on June 5 and the Bengali beauty has another reason to smile.
After wrapping up the show, Mouni also went for an image makeover and got her hair cut short.
Thanking her fans for the love, she shared an image of hers from her new look and wrote: imouniroyThank you for the 1 million love ❤️ #treasures
Mouni feels that her character in ‘Naagin’ will be one of her career-defining roles.
Recently in an interview, the talented actress told TOI that she has been lucky to play both glam and non-glam roles on the small screen.
“After Kyunki… I didn’t want to work. Forget about roles, I was like, ‘Oh my God, this is really tough! Let me go back to Delhi and study instead’. That would have been so much easier. But then one after the other, I did dance reality shows and that kept me going. I love dancing. In Kyunki…, I played a girl-next-door and when I went for look tests, people thought I wasn’t glamorous enough. But then I did ‘Zara Nachke Dikha’ and ‘Shaava Shaava’, and then everybody was like, ‘She’s too glamorous for a girl-next-door role. Give her vamp roles’. At that point of time, I didn’t want to play the parallel lead or a negative role. But people kept saying that she doesn’t fit in Indian roles. Then I got the role of Sati in’ Mahadev’ and there couldn’t have been anything more Indian than that. Then Jhalak followed. So, I think now nobody comments on what I can and can’t do. I am very conscious of the roles that suit me. I won’t pick anything just because I haven’t been working for six to eight months. People should look forward to seeing you back on screen.”
