Dipika Kakkar is all set to make her Bollywood debut in JP Dutta’s Paltan….
Sasural Simar Ka actress Dipika Kakar (known for her role as Simar) is all set to enter Bollywood with the JP Dutta’s upcoming film- Paltan. The news came as a surprise to the Dipika fans when Dipika suddenly took to Instagram and expressed her feelings of excitement and pride to be a part of the Paltan team.
Being a JP Dutta film, the movie is about relationships and brotherhood amongst the soldiers. But unlike Border, this movie is said to showcase a deeper perspective on soldiers’ lives and their families.
In an official statement JP Dutta had earlier said, “The emotions we are dealing with here are more complex and varied. It’s about the relationship the soldiers leave behind and how it affects the families. Border dealt with the soldiers’ love interests, but Paltan will also showcase their siblings and parents. It will also display the soldiers’ brotherhood, as they save each other when at war.”
Though we do not yet know about Dipika’s character and whom she has been paired with in the movie, the makers have already signed some big names like Harshvardhan Rane, Gurmeet Chaudhary, Arjun Rampal, Siddhant Kapoor for the movie.
Reports suggest that even Esha Gupta joined the cast as she has been chosen to play the role of Arjun Rampal’s wife in the film. A leading news portal also reported that Firangi fame Monica Gill, has also joined the cast of JP Dutta’s Paltan and she will be playing Harshvardhan Rane’s love interest.
We wish Dipika all the very best for this new beginning and hope to see her sign more Bollywood projects in the near future!
