Sanjay committed suicide after celebrating HOLI
The festival of joy and colors turned tragic for a a 42-year-old Sanjay Bairagi, who has previously worked as a production manager for TV serials.
According to a report published in Mid Day, Sanjay jumped 16 floors to his death from a residential tower in Malwani, a few hours after celebrating Holi with friends on Friday.
Sanjay was supervising producer at popular TV producer Gul Khan’s 4 Lions Films which has produced hit shows like ‘Qubool Hai’, ‘Ishqbaaz’, ‘Iss Pyar Ko Kya Naam Doon’ to name a few.
It is reported that after having fun with the team and playing Holi, supervising producer, Sanjay Bairagi returned home. Later, it was revealed that the man fell off from the 16th floor of his apartment and immediately died.
The Mid Day report states that, According to the police, the man, identified as Sanjay Bairagi had returned home after playing Holi around 4.30 pm on Friday. Bairagi had also uploaded photos of himself celebrating Holi on Facebook. However, two hours later, around 6.30 pm, he jumped from the bedroom of his apartment. Officials said that he left a suicide note, which read, “It’s my fault. My family is suffering and I have financial troubles. No one should be held responsible.”
Residents from the building rushed him to a private hospital, but he was declared dead on arrival. An accidental death report has been filed at the Malwani police station.
Bairagi is survived by his wife and two sons.
In the wake of the tragic incident, the production house ran an internal message stating, “Due to the untimely and extremely saddening demise of Sanjay Bairagi, we are calling off shoot on Saturday. We will hopefully resume shoot on Sunday. Peace and power for Sanjay Bairagi and his soul, and may we all have the courage to stick together in these hard times.”
